The thread of Miksang flows through her work but she is animated by some other influences as well. I discovered the work of Ernst Haas several years ago and find myself returning to absorb his fine colour work and to see what new images he has created. There are some photographers whose work defines creative vision. The bounds of Karen's imagination never cease to amaze, entertain and impress me. Leslie makes some of the most intelligent photographs I have even seen. He is absolutely one of my favourite photographers. Miksang (Society for Contemplative Photography) Here you will find a brief introduction to the view of Miksang together with some of the work of Michael Wood. This site is devoted to images of clouds from a variety of photographers. Stephen is a wonderful photographer with a style that is unmistakably his own. He makes beautiful images that demonstrate a keen eye for composition and colour. A French photographer who specializes in nature and landscape. Gerard Rhinn is a French photographer who has a superb eye and a wonderful way of seeing things, in black and white as well as colour. Alenka is a New York City photographer who has a very refined eye for composition. I find her exquisitely toned images especially compelling. Garry has a wonderful facility for bringing the things that populate our ordinary world to life. Curtis is another photographic friend of mine in Halifax. He introduced me to the Miksang Society whose path he continues to follow although he is always looking in new directions that can help him improve his ability to see the world in a fresh way. Sophie's facility in creating beautiful colour macros with an abstract edge was my first attraction to her work but if you explore her site you will find a wide range of other creative treasures as well. Michael is the principal architect and teacher of Miksang. He has helped me to see and to more fully appreciate my world. This site explores the creative relationship between Zen and photography.
